What it does to year-1 cost
On Roam 100GB ($55/mo), year 1 with a Mini goes from about $909 to $809 before tax. Over 3 years the saving is the same $100, so it matters most if you'll only keep it a year.
Who it doesn't affect: anyone on a Residential rental, and anyone who already bought a Mini. We haven't found a Starlink page offering a price adjustment for earlier buyers.
